As an Emmy winner, Adele is one step closer to achieving her dream of becoming an EGOT star, as she is now on her way to doing just that. On Sunday, September 4, she used her Instagram account to share pictures of herself with the Emmy statuette and posted them to her Instagram account.

As a result, Adele: One Night Only was named one of the top five winners at the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where five of the night’s top awards went to show.

Her Instagram Account Reflects Her Happiness

A picture of the singer with the award was posted on the singer’s Instagram account to announce her victory. In her post on Instagram, she expressed her joy over the same, writing, “Bloody hell I’m pleased as punch! Thank you, @mrbenwinston for dropping this round to me this afternoon!! Trust me to officially have an EGO.”

She also tagged an executive producer from Adele: One Night Only in her post and Adele herself. Adele won the Emmy for an outstanding variety special as part of the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony.

As a result of the Adele: One Night Only special, Paul Dugdale, the director of the show, won an award for outstanding directing. The show won the following awards, outstanding sound mixing for a variety series or special, outstanding lighting design and lighting direction for a variety special, and outstanding technical direction, camerawork, and video control for a variety special.

One Last Time: An Evening With Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga (CBS) and Dave Chappelle: The Closer (Netflix) were competing for Adele’s category.

EGOT Status Is On The Way For Adele

As many of her fans have pointed out, the singer has yet to win a Tony Award, which would make her an EGOT since she has already won 15 Grammy Awards and an Oscar, as well as other awards.

In November 2021, Adele: One Night Only, she recently awarded special, premiered and featured ten performances, including four songs from her new album 30, along with an interview with Oprah Winfrey where she discussed both her professional and personal lives.

Now Adele only needs to win a Tony to complete the collection, and she will be part of a limited number of artists who have won all four major awards.

Only 17 people are part of the EGOT group, and Jennifer Hudson, the most recent EGOT member, won a Tony award for producing the musical A Strange Loop in June. As well to Rita Moreno from West Side Story, comedian Mel Brooks, actress Whoopi Goldberg, and John Legend, there are other members of the EGOT club. Adele has won several Grammys for her highly successful albums, and her song “Skyfall” won an Academy Award in 2013 for Best Original Song.

How Did Adele Become So Famous?

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins is a singer and songwriter from England who is widely known for her soulful voice and traditional songs. Several months after graduating from college, in 2006, she signed a contract with XL Recordings, a record label that took notice of her music. Adele’s first album, 19, was released in 2008 after some well-received live performances in Britain.

She won Grammy Awards for best new artist and best female pop vocal performance in early 2009 after performing on Saturday Night Live. She released her 21st album in 2011, which featured singles such as the earthy gospel- and disco-infused “Rolling in the Deep” and the affecting breakup ballad “Someone like You.” Despite Adele cancelling numerous tour dates in 2011, her album became the biggest-selling release of the year worldwide, despite a vocal cord ailment.

Her Grammys include album, record, and song awards. With 25 in 2015, Adele returned. Despite critics’ criticism, Adele’s voice remained influential, and her ability to sell records remained unaffected. Over 20 million copies of the album were sold worldwide, and the yearning single “Hello” became a hit in numerous countries. Adele won five more Grammys for 25. Her fourth studio album, 30, was released in 2021. It was widely acclaimed for its emotionally candid work, many of which deal with her divorce.

She wasn’t present to collect her award. In addition to her Las Vegas residency, Adele has been hard at work on multiple projects. As a result, we can expect to hear from her again soon.
