MARBELLA-based RokaBar, located in Costa del Sol’s Elviria, has said it will be offering free water to everyone, whether they are a customer or not.

As temperatures soar across Spain, Elviria’s RokaBar in Andalucia wrote on Facebook: “Due to this incredible heat and high temperatures, we at Roka decided to provide FREE WATER for everyone!”

“If you are a customer OR simply just walking around Elviria.. stop by and pick up your bottle of water!” the Costa del Sol bar said.

A post added: “It’s very important to stay hydrated with weather like this! Have a lovely weekend! #DrinkWater.”

Users on Facebook commented on the post.

One person said: “Well done guys ***”

“Lovely gesture! Congrats,” another wrote.

Elviria is located 45 km from Málaga airport and the nearest train station is located in Fuengirola – making it a perfect place for holiday-makers to visit. However, with weather warnings in place, RokaBar’s offer of free water will be welcomed by those visiting the area.

On Saturday, August 13, Spain’s State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) said: “Andalucia has temperature warnings in place for the weekend. The tropical winds in Malaga will affect the capital until the middle of next week, but temperatures will drop on Monday when the warnings will end.”

Back in July, AEMET were forced to issue orange weather warnings for extremely high temperatures in parts of Andalucia.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) issued the orange warnings for high temperatures on Friday, June 17, in the province of Jaen, and in the regions of Cordoba and Granada.
